According to NetEase Games, Marvel Rivals "lets players assemble an ever-evolving all-star squad of Super Heroes and Super Villains battling with unique super powers across a dynamic lineup of destructible maps from across the Marvel Multiverse."

New Characters: Venom and Adam Warlock

Venom and Adam Warlock, two well-known Marvel heroes, will be joining the 19 other playable heroes. They will fight in famous Marvel locations from all over the Multiverse, including the brand-new TOKYO 2099: SPIDER-ISLANDS map.

You can use Venom to feed off of your enemies and use the symbiote's power, or you can fly in as Adam Warlock and use quantum magic to form a soul bond with your friends and charge ahead or bring your whole team back to life.

Game Overview

In Marvel Rivals, players can anticipate selecting heroes who are divided into three distinct roles based on their individual power inclinations: Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist.

Players will have the freedom to select their preferred role and hero, collaborating with allies to establish a dynamic and adaptable battle composition. With Team-Up Abilities, they can take team play to a whole new level, unleashing superpowers together with their friends to destroy the battlefield and win exciting battles.

Marvel Rivals is currently under development by a NetEase team that is comprised of global talent who have a profound affection for the Marvel universe and its characters. The team has previously worked on successful shooter franchises that have been played by millions of players worldwide.

Ethan Wang, Senior Vice President of NetEase, Inc., said:
With the confirmation of console platforms, NetEase Games is thrilled at the prospects to greatly expand the audience for Marvel Rivals. As we move closer to our closed beta phase, we look forward to direct community feedback and engaging with our players to create the best possible Super Hero experience.

The storyline of Marvel Rivals was created by the NetEase writing team in cooperation with Marvel Games. The fierce battle between the cruel dictator Doctor Doom and his future self from the year 2099 has caused many universes to crash into each other in the Timestream Entanglement, resulting in the creation of new worlds and conflicts that have yet to be found. From all over the Multiverse, Super Heroes and Super Villains must now fight both with and against each other as different groups try to beat both Dooms before one takes over these realities. In Marvel Rivals, characters you know become new enemies, while former enemies are transformed into the most formidable allies.
