Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021 with USD 200K prize pool announced
Riot Games Southeast Asia partners with esports tournament organizer ESL Asia to present the Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021 from September 14 until October 3.
With the Wild Rift SEA Icon Series: Fall Season nearing its end, players and fans can look forward to the Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021, which will take place between mid-September and early October.
The SEA Championship 2021 will feature a total of 21 of the best teams from the ongoing Wild Rift SEA Icon Series: Fall Season.
Southeast Asian teams will qualify via the SEA Icon Series held in eight regions, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
Teams from the Oceania region, namely Australia and New Zealand, will be selected via the ESL Wild Rift Mobile Open Oceania Championship 2021.
These teams will be competing for a share of a USD 200,000 total prize pool (around PHP 10 million). In addition, they will be vying for a slot to the Wild Rift World Championships 2021.
The Wild Rift SEA Championship 2021 tournament will be held in three stages:
  • Stage 1: Play-Ins – September 14 – 19, 2021
  • Stage 2: Group Stages – September 23 – 26, 2021
  • Stage 3: Main Event – September 30 – October 3, 2021
The tournament will be broadcasted on Facebook, Twitch, and YouTube in eight different languages.
