UniPin will feature an all-women Mobile Legends tournament through the UniPin Ladies Championship Philippines. Participating teams will vie for the title and a share of the PHP 50,000 prize pool.
Women’s tournaments like this are undoubtedly vital in an esports world dominated by masculinity. This competition will provide a great opportunity for female players in the Philippines to prove their skills in playing Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
Moreover, the UniPin Ladies Championship will become the first women’s MLBB tournament to have a qualifier for the Southeast Asian competitive scene, the UniPin Ladies Series SEA Invitational.
The registration for the women’s-only tournament will be open from October 3 until October 8, 2021.
From October 11 to October 14, the elimination stage of the UniPin Ladies Championship Philippines will take place. Meanwhile, the playoffs and final stage are scheduled for October 16 and 17, respectively.
The two best squads from the UniPin Ladies Championship Philippines will become the country’s representatives for the UniPin Ladies Series SEA Invitational.
Debora Imanuella, SVP UniPin Community, explains that the UniPin Ladies Championship will pave the way for a slew of female esports teams to enter and compete in the Philippine esports scene.
She also added that “this competition will certainly boost the growth of the female gamers community and the Philippines’ esports ecosystem as a whole.”
