Team Secret will keep their playoff hopes alive after the all-Filipino team swept Japan’s Crazy Racoons, 2-0, in their elimination match at 2021 Valorant Champions in Berlin, Germany, on December 5.
After suffering their first loss against Gambit, Team Secret showed a dominant performance against Crazy Racoons in Group C’s losers’ bracket match.
Philippines’ Team Secret started Game 1 with Omen, Cypher, Jett, Sage, and Raze lineup. They dominated Crazy Raccoons with their strategic control of the map. Eventually, Secret emerged victorious in the Split map with a 13-5 round win, leading the series 1-0.
Game 2 in the Haven map saw Team Secret with Astra, Killjoy, Jett, Sova, and Breach composition, not giving the Japan-based squad a chance for a do-or-die match, as they secured a landslide 13-2 round victory.
Team Secret’s Witz is the Game 1 MVP, while JessieVash named Game 2 MVP.
With their win, Team Secret will advance to the group stage’s decider match against Team Vikings from Brazil on December 8. Winning this one will give the squad a spot for the playoffs.
