Globe has built 195 new cell sites and upgraded 2,800 base stations with LTE technology in 706 towns and cities across 81 provinces between September and October 2021.
This added approximately one million customers to Globe’s client base.
Globe subscribers from the expanded and new sites observed improved network performance.
The top areas that reported improved network experience are Bulacan, Cavite, NCR second district, Cebu, and NCR fourth district. Seventy-five (75) percent of these customers are heavy data users who reported an increase in the maximum speed of at least 50% in video streaming, web browsing, and speed tests.
Most of these customers already use 4G LTE SIMs and devices.
With that said, Globe encourages customers who are currently using 3G SIM cards to upgrade to 5G-ready 4G LTE SIM cards and capable devices in order to take advantage of the benefits offered by newer technology.
