Software benchmarking app Antutu has released the Global Top 10 Best Performing Android Phones for April 2022.
In addition to flagship and mid-range, Antutu added a new performance ranking category called sub-flagship. The sub-flagship list compares models with average running scores between 690,000 and 730,000,
Red Magic 7 dominated the flagship department, while Realme GT Neo 2 topped the sub-flagship segment, and IQOO Z5 led the mid-range group.
As per Antutu, the top 10 best-performing Android smartphones covered in the April 2022 list were tallied from April 1 to 30, 2022, with the average scores calculated instead of the highest scores to be more standard.
Global Top 10 Best-Performing Flagship Smartphones for April 2022
Nubia Red Magic 7 placed first in the flagship department, recording a whopping average Antutu score of 1,038,771 points. It features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 octa-core processor as well as a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels, supports up to 165Hz refresh rate, 720Hz touch sampling rate, tripod pixel arrangement, and DCI-P3 100% wide color gamut. In terms of camera, the rear is a 64MP main camera + 2MP macro + 8MP wide-angle, and the front is an 8MP selfie lens. The gaming phone is equipped with a 165W gallium nitride charger, supporting up to a 120W fast charging rate, and the battery capacity is 4500mAh.
The second place was earned by Redmi K50 Pro, posting an average Antutu score of 986,840 points. Mi 12 Pro ranked third place, with an average of 982,228 points.
Rounding out the top 10 are Motorola Edge 30 Pro (977,395), Realme GT2 Pro (966,916), iQOO 9 Pro (954,336), Mi 12 (948,391), Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G – SD 8 Gen 1 (942,849), Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G – Exynos 2200 (914,476), and Galaxy S22+ 5G – SD 8 Gen 1 (905,520).
Global Top 10 Best-Performing Sub-Flagship Smartphones for April 2022
Snapdragon 870-powered Realme GT Neo 2 secured the top spot in the sub-flagship group, recording an average Antutu score of 731,589 points. It was followed by Google’s Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro with 728,567 and 722,936 points, respectively.
The rest in the charts are Motorola Edge S Pro (713,813), Redmi K40 (707,854), Black Shark 4 (706,606), Mi 11X (704,933), Poco F3 (704,634), OnePlus 9R (693,954), and Realme GT Neo (692,497).
Global Top 10 Best-Performing Mid-range Smartphones for April 2022
The top 3 phones in the mid-range department have maintained their previous month’s rankings. iQOO Z5 took the first spot in the midrange group, registering an average Antutu score of 559,591 points. Realme GT Master came second place with 544,862 points, followed by Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite with 532,023 points.
The following seven smartphones are Realme Q3s (530,806), Motorola Edge 20 (526,824), Mi 11 Lite 5G NE (516,932), Honor 50 (511,424), Huawei nova 9 (508,020), Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G (501,567), and Galaxy M52 5G (490,315).
