If you want a pie chart of your music habits, there’s a new online tool called Spotify Pie Chart, which analyzes your listening habits and shows the results in the form of a pie chart.
The third-party feature was created by a University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) student Darren Huang.
The tool compiles information regarding your Spotify music consumption and generates a pie chart in response. There is a legend beneath the chart that indicates which color corresponds to which genre for each of the chart’s colors.
Below the graph legend, the artists you listen to the most will be listed in order from top to bottom, with the font size decreasing as you move down the list.
In contrast to Spotify’s own official “Wrapped” feature, the Spotify Pie Chart can be updated monthly. Spotify Pie enables users to “bake” their own “Monthly Genre Pie”. Some of the genres include pop-rock, pop-punk, OPM, Pinoy rock, new mellow, experimental, dream pop, alternative metal, Japanese pop-punk, K-pop, emo rap, indie rock, and more.
How to Create Your Own Genre Pie Using Spotify Pie Chart
- Go to the Spotify Pie website (https://ift.tt/IBvkK0f).
- Click the “Login to Spotify” button.
- Enter your Spotify login information.
- You’ll see an authorization page that requests permission to analyze your Spotify data. Click on the “Agree” button.
- The tool will create your Spotify Pie Chart.
For further customization, you can click on a genre to exclude it from the pie chart.
