Globe has been named the Most Reliable Mobile Network in the Philippines for the second quarter of 2022, based on an analysis of Speedtest Intelligence data by Ookla. Globe outperformed the competition in terms of consistency and availability.
Globe earned the highest Consistency Score of 79.44 and the Most Available All Technology score of 93.11.
Few mobile operators around the world have achieved supremacy in both consistency and availability, making the reliability claim an elusive industry accolade.
Globe’s consistency score of 79.44 is nearly two points higher than the next-highest player’s score of 77.69. The third-place finisher received 73.82 points.
Globe received the highest availability score of 93.11, edging out rivals with scores of 91.91 and 91.41, respectively. The availability score identifies the network whose users dedicate the greatest proportion of their time to all technologies.
Globe President and CEO Ernest Cu said that being declared the country’s Most Reliable Mobile Network is a “testament to the gains” of their network buildup, which they have “aggressively pursued over recent years.”

Globe has relentlessly pursued network expansion, constructing 234 new cell sites in the first quarter of 2018, upgrading 3,500 mobile sites, and installing 380 additional 5G sites and 470,000 fiber-to-the-home lines.
Expansions, including the addition of 1,407 new towers, the upgrade of over 22,300 mobile sites to 4G/LTE, and the installation of 1 million fiber-to-the-home lines and 2,000 5G sites across the country, were made possible by an unprecedented capital expenditure of PHP 92.8 billion in 2021.
