Nothing Phone (1) revealed, set to release in PH on Aug. 1, 2022

Mobile brand Nothing has revealed its first Android phone, Nothing Phone (1), featuring a 6.55-inch flat 120Hz OLED display, a Snapdragon 778G+ SoC, dual 50MP rear camera setup, and a 4,500 mAh battery with 33W fast charging. Also, among the main key selling points of this smartphone is its transparent back cover along with “Glyph Interface” LEDs.

Phone (1) is available in White or Black color options. It also has IP53 rating water and dust resistance. Nothing claimed that the device is made of 100% recycled aluminum frame.

Both front and rear panels were protected by Corning Gorilla 5. The transparent back boasts “Glyph Interface” LED lighting, which lights up when the phone gets a notification, wireless charging, and more. Audio-wise it has stereo speakers. However, it has no 3.5mm headphone jack.

Under the hood runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ 5G octa-core processor with Hexagon 770 AI processor. The platform is paired with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, and Android 12-based Nothing OS software. Cameras are composed of 50MP + 50MP dual rear cameras with OIS and a single 16MP selfie camera.

Moreover, the UI has quick access to Nothing ear (1) settings, controls for Tesla cars, and a built-in home screen for NFT collection. Other highlights of Nothing Phone 1 include an under-display fingerprint scanner and 5G connectivity. Nothing promises three years of major Android updates and four years of security patches every two months.

Nothing Phone (1) Price and Availability

The Nothing Phone (1) starts at GBP 399 (roughly PHP 26.7K), and its limited drops will be available in the Philippines on July 18 on Commonwealth online (via https://ift.tt/PK2pQg1) and in-store.

On August 1, it will be available for purchase in the Philippines via Digital Walker, Beyond the Box, and Lazada.
