Burn x Team Flash were declared champions of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Cambodia (KH) Autumn Split 2022 after defeating Logic Esports, 3-1, in the grand finals held at the AEON Mall in Phnom Penh on October 2.
With their win, Burn x Team Flash bagged the grand prize of USD 16,000 (~ PHP 943K) from the USD 40,000 total prize pool. The squad also secured a slot in the M4 World Championship, which will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, next year.
Meanwhile, Logic Esports followed in second place, taking home USD 8,000 from the prize pool. Former MPL KH champion, See You Soon, settled for a third-place finish with USD 5,000. Impunity KH placed fourth with USD 3,000.
Burn x Team Flash roster is composed of mixed Cambodians and Filipinos. The team is led by the Filipino coach John "Zico" Dizon, accompanied by fellow Pinoy players Jhonwin "Hesa" Vergara (gold lane carry) and Michael "MPDKING" Endino (sub-jungle). All three were former members of Nexplay Evos, who finished 5th-6th last MPL PH Season 9.
Nevertheless, this is not totally a Pinoy effort, as Sok "C Cat" Roth was named grand finals MVP. Kosal "ATM" Piseth, Vithou "Fury" Sovisal, Ty "D7" Oudom, and Kunn "Xeon" Chankakada are the remaining Cambodian members.
According to MLBB developer Moonton Games, the MPL KH Autumn Split 2022 Grand Finals day had the largest live venue audience count in the league, with up to 2,000 fans attending.
Meanwhile, analytical service Esports Charts reported that the MPL Cambodia Autumn 2022 grand final has online viewership peaked at 110K watchers, which is a new viewership record for the MPL league in the country.
