Netflix has released its report for the November 2022 ISP Speed Index for the Philippines, ranking selected internet service providers (ISPs) in the country based on their performance.
According to the latest report, Converge ICT Solution, Globe, PLDT, and Sky Cable shared the top spot, registering average speeds of 3.4 Mbps. This is slightly lower than the previous month's record of 3.6 Mbps. Also, this is Globe's 11th straight month topping the charts.
Coming in second place is Royal Cable, with an average speed of 2.8 Mbps.
As per the latest data, PLDT and Globe Telecom provide fiber and DSL (digital subscriber line) networks. On the other hand, Royal Cable, Sky Cable, and Converge ICT Solution offer two types of internet: fiber and cable.
The 3.4 Mbps record of the top PH telcos in the November 2022 Netflix ISP Index was also comparable to other countries that experience excellent Netflix speeds.
Among the countries that achieved the same speed were Argentina, Austria, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, France, Greece, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Poland, Taiwan, Trinidad & Tobago, Uruguay, and Vietnam.

Netflix streaming needs a speed index because its videos load seamlessly on networks with faster data transmission and minimal delays. Otherwise, viewers may encounter buffering and pixelation issues when streaming media.
