How to Switch to Globe or TM and Keep Your Mobile Number

If you're a subscriber of Smart, TNT, GOMO, Cherry Prepaid, or DITO network and want to switch to Globe or TM, you can do so via the Mobile Number Portability service.

With the Mobile Number Portability (MNP) process, you can change your network while keeping your mobile number. The porting process is free of charge. To change your network to Globe or TM, follow the step-by-step guide below.

How to Switch to Globe or TM from Smart, TNT, GOMO, Cherry Prepaid, or DITO

Step 1: Get your Unique Subscriber Code (USC) from your existing network provider.

A 9-digit Unique Subscriber Code (USC) must be issued by your current network provider to initiate the MNP process. It serves as verification that your account has no outstanding fees or balances. Check out the external porting requirements.

The validity of the USC is fifteen (15) days from the date of issuance. Here's how you can get your USC:
  • For Smart, TNT, and Sun Cellular customers: Dial *888 using your phone's dialer or send a message to the Smart Facebook page (https://ift.tt/z7BVgti) to request your USC.
  • For GOMO users: Send a message to the official GOMO Facebook page (https://ift.tt/wBzi608) to request your USC.
  • For Cherry Prepaid users: Contact the Cherry Prepaid customer service hotline at 7909-4909 (1 Peso per call) or send a message to its Facebook page (https://ift.tt/lJIbxgU).
  • For DITO subscribers: Contact the DITO customer service hotline at 185.

Step 2: Fill out the application form via the Globe website to get your Globe/TM 5G-ready MNP SIM card for free.

Once you have your 9-digit USC, you can go to Globe's MNP website to apply and submit the necessary requirements for switching. Here are the steps:
  • Go to https://ift.tt/u0SlqzW and click the "Switch to Globe now" button.
  • Enter your non-Globe/non-TM number, then click the "Check" button.
  • For validation, enter the 6-digit one-time PIN (OTP) you've received via SMS.
  • Fill out the customer information form.
  • Enter your valid 9-digit Unique Subscriber Code (USC).
  • Confirm your free SIM order.
  • After submitting your application, Globe will let you know if you're eligible to switch through a text message within 48 hours.
  • If your request is approved, you'll receive an SMS containing the SIM delivery details and the 6-digit Porting Code that you'll use to activate your Globe Prepaid/TM MNP SIM.
  • Globe will deliver your free MNP SIM card within 3 days (for customers in Metro Manila) or within 7 days (for customers outside NCR).

If you want to switch to Globe Postpaid, on the other hand, it is recommended to go to the nearest Globe store to process your request.

Step 3: Activate your Globe/TM 5G-ready MNP SIM.

Once you already have a Globe/TM 5G-ready MNP SIM card and have completed your MNP application, follow the steps below to activate it.
  • Insert the 5G-Ready Globe/TM MNP SIM into your mobile device.
  • On the SIM menu, choose Port In, then Online Request.
  • Enter your non-Globe/non-TM mobile number.
  • Enter your 6-digit Porting Code.
  • Restart your phone.
  • Your SIM will be activated, and your signal will switch to Globe/TM within 4 hours.

That's it, and you're done! To enjoy the promos and services of Globe and TM (Touch Mobile), you can download the GlobeOne app. You can also access its USSD code menu; just dial *143# using your phone's dialer.
