Getting the 9-digit Unique Subscriber Code (USC) from your current network provider is the first step if you plan to switch to another network. Read on to learn more about how you can get USC from Globe, TM, Smart, TNT, Sun, DITO, GOMO, and Cherry Prepaid.
Since the introduction of the Mobile Number Portability (MNP) service in 2021, cellular subscribers in the Philippines have been allowed to change networks while keeping their mobile numbers. The porting process is entirely free of charge. With that, phone users were given the freedom to choose their desired telco provider according to their preference. It's easier now to switch networks if you are not satisfied with your current service provider's service (like signal strength) or if you find better call, text, and data promos from a different provider.
If you decide to switch to another network, the initial requirement is the Unique Subscriber Code (USC), a 9-digit code that you have to obtain from your current telco, which basically verifies if your mobile number is eligible for telco switching. Note that this code is only valid for 15 days. Without further ado, here's a guide on how you can get the USC from your existing telco provider.
