Genshin Impact will launch its first international Genius Invokation TCG Tournament series, "Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup," in H2 of 2023, announced HoYoverse.
Players from various nations and regions around the world are invited to participate in six regional championships and a number of invitational tournaments with a total prize pool of over 270,000 US Dollars.
Just a piece of info about Genshin Impact. It is a free-to-play, open-world action role-playing game that transports players to the visually breathtaking world of Teyvat. Since its initial release in September 2020, the game's landscapes, stories, events, characters, and gameplay have continued to grow. In December 2022, Genshin Impact released Genius Invokation TCG, a card game that combines the joy of its element-based combat system with strategy development, allowing players to compete with their card collections against NPCs or other players. Over 60 new cards and two new game modes were added to Genius Invokation TCG's gameplay with the most recent Version 3.7 update, which was released last week.
This year, Genshin Impact authorized the Genshin Impact Tavern community to initiate the first season of the "Cat's Tail Gathering" GITCG Tournament, a Discord-based community tournament system. Today, it was announced that "Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup" will be an advanced tournament that will bring together talented players from various regions and provide entertainment for its community. Currently, the Prince Cup has two parts: six regional tournaments to be held between June and September and three cross-regional invitationals to be held in June, August, and December.
Top contenders from "Cat's Tail Gathering" community tournaments and wildcard competitions will compete in each regional for the regional championship. Players who advance to the quarterfinals will compete on-site, with the quarterfinals being broadcast live on the official AstraCarnival Twitter, YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok channels. Top regional and community tournament competitors may also be invited to the invitationals and invited to participate in exhibition games for an international audience.
