PH Sibol Valorant team grabs bronze at SEA Games 2023

The Sibol Valorant squad clinched the bronze medal in the esports category of SEA Games 2023 after beating Vietnam, 2-0, in the third-place match held in Cambodia.

The Philippine representatives swept the Vietnam squad in Ascent (13-5) and Haven (13-10) to grab the bronze medal.

Prior to this, Sibol suffered a 2-0 loss against the Indonesia team in the semi-finals, which relegated the Filipinos to the bronze medal match.

Still, Sibol showed a strong performance throughout the group stage, collecting a 5-0 win-loss record after conquering Singapore (Haven, 13-8), Cambodia (Lotus, 13-8), Vietnam (Lotus, 13-9), Malaysia (Fracture, 13-7), and Indonesia (13-2, Haven).

Xavier "Xavi8k" Juan led Sibol with 2 MVP performances, followed by Nathaniel "Nexi" Cabero and Bhreyanne "Wild0reoo" Reyes who have 1 MVP performance each.

This is the second bronze medal for the Philippines in the esports category of 32nd SEA Games, and the first for the inaugural Valorant event in the biennial tilt.
