PH Sibol Women's ML team snags silver at SEA Games 2023

Sibol women's Mobile Legends team bagged the first silver medal for esports in the SEA Games 2023 after losing to Indonesia, 2-3, in the gold medal match held in Cambodia.

Prior to this, the Philippine representatives showed a strong performance. They defeated Malaysia via a clean sweep, 2-0, in the semi-finals.

Still, the campaign was a triumph for the Filipinas, despite the fact that they encountered obstacles during their tournament preparations in Cambodia.

This will be the first Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) silver medal for the women's division.

Sibol, bannered by Omega Empress, is composed of Gwyneth Diagon, Kaye Maerylle Alpuerto, Alexandria Dhzoie Dardo, Sheen Perez, Rica Fatima Amores, Merry Christine Vivero, and head coach Abraham Unida.

To recall, the Philippines won the gold medal at the 2022 Southeast Asian Games for the Mobile Legends event, where the category is men's only.
