With a stellar record at the M3 and M4 World Championships, MSC 2021 and 2022, and a recent victory at the 32nd SEA Games, the Philippines has the best opportunity of reclaiming the world title.

This season, the league focuses on the hardships that produce champions, sharing an uplifting message about how esports athletes use adversity to hone their skills and become formidable.

Harry Leonardo, MOONTON Games Esports Marketing Manager, said:
Both ECHO and Blacklist International had their fair share of defeats before they triumphed and gave glory to the Philippines, now considered the birthplace of greatness. Hardships strengthened the teams as they explore a bigger MSC arena.

MPL Philippines Season 11 runners-up Blacklist International will be bannered by Edward Jay "EDWARD" Dapadap, Danerie James "Wise" Del Rosario, Jonmar "OhMyV33NUS" Villaluna, Renejay "RENEJAY" Barcase, Kenneth Carl "Yue" Tadeo, and Lee Howard "Owl" Gonzales. Aniel "Master the Basics" Jiandani and Dexter Louise "Dex Star" Alaba will serve as the team's coach and analyst, respectively.

The team is renowned for its "Ultimate Bonding Experience" (UBE) strategy, which seeks to stick together in team fights and roam the map as a single unit.

MPL-PH S11 champions ECHO will be comprised of team captain Karl Gabriel "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno, Sanford Marin "Sanford" Vinuya, Alston "Sanji" Pabico, Jian Cedric "Jian" Magtibay, Tristan "Yawi" Cabrera, and Frederic Benedict "Bennyqt" Gonzales. This time, tactician Robert Alexis "Trebor" Sanchez will be the squad's head coach and Harold Francis "Tictac" Reyes will serve as their analyst.

The Orcas have been employing the "Kontrapelo" strategy, which involves counter-picking their opponent, performing split drives, and executing effective backdoor plays.

On June 10-11, 2023, ECHO is scheduled to compete against Laos's EVO and Turkey's Fire Flux Impunity. On June 12-13, 2023, Blacklist International will face MENA's Team Occupy and Malaysia's Todak.

Together with MPL Philippines, ECHO and Blacklist International will host watch parties in Metro Manila. More information will be forthcoming.

MSC 2023 begins on June 10, 2023, with 12 teams vying for global dominance. With the theme #SEATheWorld, MSC 2023 intends to commemorate the tournament's gradual global expansion and raise the level of competition by adding three new teams from MENA (Middle East and North Africa), North America, and Turkey.
