Here's the list of Xiaomi phones that will no longer receive updates:
- POCO F2 Pro (GLOBAL)
- Redmi 9 (CN)
- Redmi 9A (GLOBAL)
- Redmi 10X 4G (CN)
- Redmi 10X Pro (CN)
- Redmi K30i 5G (CN)
- Redmi Note 9 (EEA)
- Redmi Note 9 (GLOBAL)
- Redmi Note 9 (ID)
If your phone is included in the EOS product list, here are some of the disadvantages you may experience.
Phones without regular security patches are more susceptible to hackers, viruses, and data leaks
Moreover, phones that no longer get major software updates will miss new features, increased performance, bug fixes, and compatibility updates. This may reduce the phone's potential and user experience.
Meanwhile, here are some tips for minimizing the risks of using a Xiaomi phone that is no longer supported.
Install a security app to protect your phone from malware and other security threats.
Keep your mobile apps up to date to ensure that you have the latest security patches and bug fixes.
Only download apps from trusted sources. Avoid downloading apps from unknown websites or app stores.
Back up your data regularly to protect your data in case your phone is lost, stolen, or damaged.
