Missed registration deadline? How to reactivate Globe/TM SIM

Globe has released a guide, informing how Globe and TM SIM users who missed the SIM Registration deadline can reactivate their SIM cards. See below the details on how to reactivate your SIM, the impact of a deactivated SIM to load balances, and promo registrations.

Consequences of Deactivated SIM Card

Users of Globe, TM, and Globe At Home Prepaid WiFi who missed the July 25 deadline for SIM registration are already experiencing the consequences of noncompliance, as their outgoing services and incoming calls have been disabled.

The good news is you can still reactivate your SIM. If you missed the SIM registration deadline, you have a final grace period, which is 5 days, to comply with the SIM registration law.

Failure to reactivate within the grace period of five days will result in permanent SIM deactivation. As a result, no services will be accessible, including incoming and outgoing text messages, calls, and mobile data connectivity. This may also affect access to active mobile apps, such as banking, transportation, and other essential apps.

All remaining load balances and promo registrations on unregistered SIMs will be forfeited on July 31, 2023. Those with deactivated SIMs who require mobile services will be required to purchase new SIMs, which must be registered in order to activate.

SIM Reactivation Duration

According to the SIM Registration Act's implementing rules and regulations, you still have until July 30, 2023, to catch up and prevent the permanent deactivation of your SIM card. Your incoming SMS is still active in order for you to receive a One-Time PIN (OTP) for SIM registration.

How to Reactivate Globe or TM SIM

To reactivate your SIMs and restore full mobile services, you have to connect to a WiFi network and complete your SIM registration via Globe's website at https://ift.tt/iJrEXLp or via the GlobeOne app.

The SIM registration grace period represents the last chance for consumers to register their SIM cards and secure mobile services. Globe, TM, and Globe At Home Prepaid WiFi customers are urged to act immediately to avoid permanent deactivation.

Globe and Touch Mobile customers are reminded that SIM registration is an integral component of the initiative to enhance customer security and prevent scams. This step is required not only to maintain their mobile services but also to assure their digital safety.

Ernest Cu, Globe Group President and CEO, said:
Globe recognizes the essential role of uninterrupted mobile and broadband services in our customers' daily lives. So, as provided for in the law, SIM users get this last chance to register their SIMs after missing the initial and extended registration deadlines. Our team is committed to assisting our customers who need help. We strongly urge everyone to seize this opportunity to avoid any inconvenience.
