Activision Blizzard Southeast Asia revealed that the free access period for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will occur from September 14 to 21, 2023.
According to Activision, with the one-week free access for CoD Modern Warfare II Multiplayer, players can try out the latest Season 05 Reloaded maps and the new Havoc party mode and deploy to various gameplay experiences.
Free Access players can play up to two and a half in-match hours during the week. They will experience different Multiplayer content during the event, from classic Playlists like Shipment 24/7 to the latest maps and modes like DRC — Zone 1 and Havoc. Deploy across Core, Hardcore, and Party Modes, and test out some Battle Maps for larger engagements.
Modern Warfare II Multiplayer Free Access starts on September 14 at 1 AM and ends on September 21 at 1 AM (GMT+8, Philippine Time). An additional download is required to play. Please refer to your platform for information regarding file size.

New Season 05 Core Maps
DRC — Zone 1: The latest multiplayer map in Season 05 Reloaded is DRC - Zone 1. This map takes players to the Defense Research Center, a high-tech facility where advancements in fields like bioscience, artificial intelligence, and computer processing are made. The map's design includes narrow indoor areas that surround a central courtyard and patio, which makes combat fast-paced. You can take advantage of the vents in R&D and the service access ramp to outmaneuver your enemies. In this environment, it's important to use both speed and tactics to come out on top.
Moreover, the Free Access period features the Season 05 launch maps:
Punta Mar: Escape to the coast in this seaside destination, where the skies are crystal clear and the views are breathtaking. Navigate through the main street and over rooftops, and keep an eye out for incoming enemies lurking in shop windows and alleyways. On this map, the fights come thick and fast, so stay alert and keep up the momentum.
Strike: As Operators make their way through the urban landscape of Urzikstan, they encounter danger at every turn. It's important to stay alert and check high and low when moving toward your objective. The larger size of the map allows for flanking enemy positions and tightening defenses. To take full advantage of the environment, explore the many power positions in Strike, such as the market, clock tower, and main road. By doing so, you can gain an edge over your opponents and increase your chances of success.
Wreak Havoc
Have fun with Havoc, the recently released core multiplayer mode that draws inspiration from classic arena shooter gameplay.
Perk Packages, Killstreaks, and Field Upgrades are not available in this game mode. Instead, all Operators are given a random modifier at the start of each match. There are a total of 14 modifiers available, each with unique effects such as moon gravity, reloading after eliminating enemies, equipping flame-tipped Crossbows and Molotovs, and more. New modifiers stack on as the match progresses, activating any time a team reaches a multiple of 12 kills. Every new modifier affects both squads.
