Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2 launches on February 29, 2024

HoYoverse announced that its ARPG title, Honkai Impact 3rd, will officially embark on its brand-new journey of Part 2 on February 29, 2024. This was revealed during the Part 2 launching special program. Check out more details about this latest update below.

To recap, throughout Parts 1 and 1.5, players and brave girls known as Valkyries have fought together against the Honkai disaster and created lasting memories.

In the following Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2, players will team up with new characters and set on a journey to Mars together. New maps, monsters, and combats await on the voyage ahead.

Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2 - Update Overview

New Characters

In Part 2 of Honkai Impact 3rd, players will be introduced to three new characters: Senadina, a cheerful girl with vibrant red hair; Helia, a reliable warrior with great skills; and Coralie, a petite girl who wields a giant hammer as her weapon.

New Maps

Players will tour different places on Mars with their three new team members. Firstly, in Oxia City, a modern metropolis with game arcades and shopping malls, there are various stores and shops to visit. Players can also use jumping or teleportation to move faster around the city. The second city, Langqiu, has a completely different atmosphere, and its architectural design has a touch of steampunk style.

New Combats

Combat gameplay is and always will be the central aspect of Honkai Impact 3rd. In Part 2, the combat system will receive a significant optimization. The new monsters have become more "intelligent," and they will rest or entertain themselves in their free time. During battles, they will have more diverse skills that require players to demonstrate more flexible combat mechanics. As aerial combat becomes highly utilized in Part 2, more characters will be able to fight in the air. Senadina is a new character who has special expertise in aerial combat and can perform a set of aerial multi-combos. Her fighting style is unique, funny, and chilled as she chooses a yoyo as her weapon in combat.

Further, the combat system in Part 2 of Honkai Impact 3rd will include the Astral Ring system. During fights, the Astral Ring will accumulate energy, and when it's fully charged, the characters will enter a state that allows them to use simultaneous burst skills. This will make it easier and more direct to deal burst damage.

According to the team behind Honkai Impact 3rd, they are dedicated to providing "an immersive and interactive gaming experience" to both new and experienced players via the series of upgrades in Part 2.

Time-limited In-game Events

There will be a series of time-limited in-game events and benefits available to celebrate the grand opening of Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2.

By accumulating logins, players can receive limited-time rewards, including S-rank Battlesuit Option 2024, Battlesuit Supply Cards, Anniversary Emblems, and Anniversary Stigmata, among others.

By exploring the main story chapter and completing the main story tasks, players can obtain a Coralie Character Card, her recommended weapon, and an Anniversary Frame. Additionally, participating in the featured event will also give players a chance to acquire Disciplinary Perdition's new outfit.
