Riot Games revealed that the Valorant Champions 2024, the game's biggest tournament, will take place in Seoul, South Korea, in August.
The 2024 VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) has officially kicked off. This season features 44 of the best teams in the VALORANT competitive ecosystem, spread across 4 International Leagues - VCT Americas, VCT CN, VCT EMEA, and VCT Pacific.
As the season progresses, the Valorant community will be following the journey of these teams through the Kickoff Tournament, 2 International League Stages, and 2 Masters events. All the participating teams are working hard to earn their spot in the final tournament - Champions, which will be held in Seoul, South Korea.
2024 VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Roadmap
Kickoff Tournament
- Dates: February 16 to March 3, 2024
- The Kickoff Tournament is the first opportunity to see the teams competing in each International League. The tournament's results will determine the top eight (8) teams who will participate in Masters Madrid.
Masters Madrid
- Dates: March 14 to 24, 2024
- Masters Madrid is the inaugural global event of the 2024 VALORANT Champions Tour. The tournament will feature the top 8 teams from the Kickoff Tournaments, who will battle it out to establish themselves as frontrunners for the season. The event will kick off with a Swiss Stage, followed by a four-team double-elimination bracket.
International Leagues Stage 1
- Dates: April 3 to May 12, 2024
- Following Masters Madrid, Valorant will return to International League competition with Stage 1. These competitions are scheduled to take place from April to early May, and their results will determine the top three (3) teams from each league. These teams will then qualify for the next global event, Masters Shanghai.
Masters Shanghai
- Dates: May 23 to June 9, 2024
- Twelve teams that have qualified from the Stage 1 competition will compete in Shanghai for the second Masters event of the season. Over the course of two intense weeks, these teams will battle it out to determine which team will establish themselves as the current number one in the world.
International Leagues Stage 2
- Dates: June 15 to July 21, 2024
- Stage 2 will start right after the Masters Shanghai event. It will be the final stage before the Champions event. During the Stage 2 competition, the top three (3) teams from each IL will qualify for the VALORANT Champions event. Moreover, each IL will also qualify a fourth team based on the Championship points earned throughout the year.
Champions Seoul
- Dates: August 1 to 25, 2024
- After a series of events throughout the year, the top 16 teams will gather in Seoul for the final event of the 2024 VCT season. Champions will be held over three weeks, where the best teams from around the world will compete against each other to determine the 2024 VCT World Champion.
This season of VCT is set to be one of the most thrilling yet, with an extended roster of teams and a surge in competitive talent from around the world.
