Samsung Knox Vault - Key Features
Protect Important Data
Samsung has created Knox Vault, a hardware-based security solution that utilizes its own processor, memory, and non-volatile secure storage to keep users' sensitive data, such as passwords and biometrics, safe and secure. Knox Vault is a separated, tamper-proof, and secure subsystem that includes an excellent interface designed to provide robust security measures that safeguard Samsung devices against firmware attacks.
Mobile devices (phones, tablets) are often vulnerable to malicious attacks that can give hackers access to sensitive personal data. However, Knox Vault has been extensively tested to ensure it provides protection against various types of software and hardware attacks, such as physical tampering, unauthorized data leakage, side-channel attacks, and fault injection.
Samsung Knox Vault includes a feature called Attestation Key, which is a security program designed to protect users' personal information in the event of a lost or stolen device being detected as being manipulated by an unauthorized malicious user. The program works by preventing unauthorized access to important systems such as Samsung Pass, Samsung Pay, and Knox Services.
When it comes to security, Samsung Knox Vault has a feature called Weaver that provides robust password authentication. This feature ensures that users' data and secrets remain safe and secure. Weaver uses a binary exponential back-off algorithm that automatically triggers when the correct key is not provided, preventing unauthorized access or measurement of data.
Expanded Protection
Samsung Knox Vault gained recognition in 31 countries worldwide through the Common Criteria Recognition Agreement (CCRA). This agreement provides a framework for evaluating security products, and Samsung Knox Vault's components were evaluated by an independent third party called the Common Criteria Testing Laboratory (CCTL).
Additionally, it underwent requirements evaluation in the Security IC Platform Protection Profile with Augmentation Packages at EAL4+ and EAL5+ assurance requirements.
Security combined with top-notch entertainment
The Samsung Galaxy A15 5G and A25 5G series include 6.5-inch Super AMOLED displays with Vision Booster for excellent visibility and worry-free viewing of your favorite shows. A fast 25W charging battery ensures all-day use on these phones.
