Snapdragon Pro Series Year 3 roadmap revealed

Snapdragon Pro Series Year 3 roadmap revealed

ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) and Qualcomm Technologies revealed the Snapdragon Pro Series' Year 3 roadmap, the world's largest mobile esports league with numerous titles. Seasons 5 and 6 have the largest Snapdragon Pro Series prize pool ever, almost USD 4.4 million. Due to partnerships with Activision, MOONTON Games, and Supercell, the Snapdragon Pro Series will feature seven of the world's most popular games.

Sam Braithwaite, VP of Game Ecosystems, Mobile, said:
The level of investment we're seeing from publishers and exponential growth of the Snapdragon Pro Series underscores why mobile is the future of esports. We're proud to continue our work with Qualcomm Technologies at the cutting edge of competition and mobile technology to empower players with more opportunities to compete – from matches against their friends to seats on the world stage.

After a great Year 2 for the Snapdragon Pro Series, the ecosystem saw approximately 1 billion matches (up 13,200% year-over-year) and 4.4 million sign-ups from Asia, North America, Latin America, and Europe. Mobile esports competition gives spectators more chances to watch, resulting in 23.7 million hours viewed (up 231% year-over-year). This growth was supported by a number of firsts, such as Latin America becoming the newest region, India and Indonesia holding their own stadium events, and the global Call of Duty: Mobile esports circuit being added to the Snapdragon Pro Series.

Snapdragon Pro Series Year 3 - Overview

The Snapdragon Pro Series has a full schedule of global competitions planned for Year 3. They start with the Mobile Open and run through the end of April 2024, ending with the Mobile Masters in 2025. Southeast Asia now has Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), a new Masters-level title. This is the biggest event of the year because mobile gaming use has doubled every year for the past four years. In the region, the Snapdragon Pro Series has already been a big hit. For example, its MLBB tournament in July 2023 drew over 1 million viewers and broke attendance records.

In Year 3, partnerships with MLBB developer MOONTON Games and Brawl Stars developer Supercell will expand. The CODM esports circuit will also return to the Snapdragon Pro Series for another full year, giving fans more chances to watch, compete, and win in three of the most popular mobile games.

Here's a breakdown of updates for key titles in Snapdragon Pro Series Year 3.

Brawl Stars

Through a multi-year partnership with Supercell, the Snapdragon Pro Series will be the global operator of the Brawl Stars Championship, bringing competition to players in more than 190 countries, with matches already underway. The ecosystem will host a live last-chance qualifier in August, giving players more ways to qualify for the World Finals later in the year.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB)

In partnership with MOONTON Games, MLBB will return to the Snapdragon Pro Series with all new competitions. Mobile Open competitions kick off as early as April 8 in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia, and offer top teams a path to international MLBB competitions at Mobile Masters, Esports World Cup, and more. The Snapdragon Pro Series' MLBB circuit will also include its first tournament for top women competitors. The online tournament invites players from Southeast Asia to face off for their chance to qualify for the MLBB Women's Invitational at Esports World Cup this summer.

Garena Free Fire

The competition returns to the Snapdragon Pro Series in Year 3, with Mobile Open play beginning in Latin America later this year. The circuit will offer players new opportunities to qualify for international events, with more details to come.

Clash of Clans (COC)

This summer, the Snapdragon Pro Series Clash of Clans competition will feed into the official Clash of Clans Last Chance Qualifier tournament. With a pipeline to the title's World Championship, the international circuit will give fans more opportunities to compete at the highest level.

Call of Duty: Mobile (CODM)

In collaboration with Activision Publishing, Inc., Call of Duty: Mobile esports will return to the Snapdragon Pro Series in Year 3, giving the title's global player base more opportunities to compete on the world stage. Full details on Season 5 and 6 of the competition will be shared in the coming weeks.
