Honkai Star Rail 2.3 Update is slated for release on June 19, 2024, HoYoverse announced. The latest Honkai Star Rail version 2.3 patch, titled "Farewell Penacony," brings two new playable characters, including Firefly and Jade.
Moreover, in this new update, players can obtain rerun 5-star characters Ruan Mei and Argenti to join the Trailblazers in tackling various challenges. Further, Trailblazers will experience the new Simulated Universe update, "Divergent Universe."

Gameplay Updates
The Family's reputation is in shambles after the abrupt end of the Charmony Festival, and there are many sensitive problems that need immediate attention. Not only the Oak Family but also the other important lineages are planning how to deal with what happened. As part of the Version 2.3 Trailblaze Mission, the Express Crew will be asked to join the Radiant Feldspar as it soars above Penacony to observe important Family discussions firsthand.
A new project called "Divergent Universe" will be started on the Radiant Feldspar in the Simulated Universe. It will be led by Mr. Screwllum, who will use technology from his home world to bring gameplay improvements. For example, the "Arithmetic Mapping" tool in the testing for Divergent Universe eliminates character download limitations. A character's level will automatically increase to satisfy the current Equilibrium Level Cap if it is below it. The "Equation" feature is also included in the update. Upon achieving the required amount, the corresponding combat abilities are granted by combining buffs from two distinct Paths. Furthermore, Trailblazers are now able to resume challenges without the necessity of forcing the game to halt when they encounter defeat in the Divergent Universe. The new Restart Challenge option enables players to regroup and attempt the challenge again, thereby enhancing the overall gaming experience by providing a more engaging and strategic experience.
Origami Birds will be introduced to the Radiant Feldspar in Honkai Star Rail Version 2.3, bringing a new mini-game. In order to enhance the birds' Combat Power, players must complete eliminations within a specified number of moves in this arcade challenge. Players have the opportunity to engage in Story Challenges and freely battle other players from across the universe during the "Origami Bird Clash" event.
New Characters
The crew will welcome the 5-star character Firefly as a playable character. Firefly is a member of the Stellaron Hunters, a group that hailed from the long-destroyed world of Glamoth. Glamoth, a once affluent and expansive empire, was destroyed by the Swarm. Firefly is a young girl who was created as a weapon and is encased in mechanical armor known as "SAM," and is afflicted with Entropy Loss Syndrome as a result of genetic modification. Driven by the desire to defy fate and discover purpose in life, she became a member of the Stellaron Hunters.
Firefly is a 5-star Fire-type character who possesses a tremendous amount of power. She can summon her SAM armor and leap into the air after using her Technique, allowing her to move freely. SAM will attack all enemies within a specified range to initiate battle. Units lacking Fire Weakness may be subjected to Fire Weakness during each wave of enemies, which is enforced for a certain number of turns. In the midst of combat, SAM will be operational in two distinct forms. In its initial form, the utilization of her Skill depletes her HP while simultaneously replenishing her Ultimate energy. Firefly experiences diminished damage as her HP decreases. Additionally, upon activating her Ultimate, SAM undergoes a transformation into its second battle form, the stunning Complete Combustion state. Her Speed and Weakness Break efficiency are also enhanced, in addition to her more potent Basic Attacks and Skills. The Break DMG dealt by SAM is raised until the countdown for Complete Combustion concludes. This state offers players an immersive perspective from within Sam's mech, demonstrating Firefly's steadfast gaze and embodying the fiery spirit capable of igniting the seas.
Jade, another Quantum-Type 5-star character, is also set to join the team. A senior manager in the IPC Strategic Investment Department and one of the Ten Stonehearts, she is acknowledged by her Cornerstone, "Jade of Credit." A skilled moneylender with a profound comprehension of the human spirit, Jade is both cold and elegant. Her personal hobby, "Bonajade Exchange," showcases her capacity to extract value from seemingly destitute clients and her fortitude in waiting for high-value acquisitions by accepting the pawning of assets.
Jade's Skill enables her to establish a binding agreement with a single ally, thereby transforming them into her "Debt Collector" and conferring upon them an enhancement. For Jade, each attack initiated by her Debt Collector or herself accumulates Charges. Jade launches a follow-up attack against all opponents once she has fully charged. Nevertheless, her Ultimate executes the provisions of the agreement with unwavering precision, inflicting damage on all enemies and simultaneously improving her follow-up attack.
Event Warps
The Warps will feature the limited 5-star characters, Ruan Mei and Argenti, in the first and second halves of Honkai Star Rail V2.3, respectively. Their considerable strength guarantees that they will continue to be influential allies in your future explorations.
