The MPL PH Season 14 theme, "Heroes Within," is intended to inspire a journey of self-discovery that will refocus on the competition in the largest Mobile Legends esports tournament, the meaning of victory in arguably the most competitive league in the world, and the community's contributions to the development of MLBB esports in the Philippines.

MPL Philippines Season 14: Tournament Overview

Aurora Gaming, a Serbian esports organization, has entered the MPL PH Season 14, which is the most thrilling incarnation to date. Meanwhile, Filipino imports MP The King and Dlar, who played in MPL Cambodia and MPL Indonesia, return in the latest edition.

MPL Philippines Season 14 - New Rules Update - Point System - Tiebreaking Hierarchy

In order to further shake up the competition, the tournament implemented a new scoring system. The seven other teams will engage in two best-of-three (BO3) matches with each team. The competition's ranking will be determined by points. The winning team at 2:0 will receive 1 point, the winning team at 2:1 will receive 1 point, the losing team at 1:2 won't get any points, and the losing team at 0:2 will not receive any points.

MPL Philippines Season 14 - Playoffs Bracket Update

Season 14 emphasizes the significance of the Regular Season placement by providing the most advantageous conditions for the best teams. The MPL Philippines Season 14 Playoffs - Lower Bracket Finals will now feature a change in the format from best-of-5 (BO5) to best-of-7 (BO7). This change is intended to ensure that the finest opponent is selected to secure the final spot in the Grand Finals.

Moreover, a global open transfer system was implemented by the league, which enables mid-season transfers within the entire Mobile Legends Esports ecosystem, not just between MPL and MDL teams. This implies that, in accordance with the regulations, MPL PH teams are permitted to recruit, release, or trade players with other teams during the transfer window. This system also applies to free agents and overseas players.

On the other hand, Alamat Awards, a seasonal awards program that honors the most exceptional players and influential figures in the MLBB esports scene, has been revamped to enhance the categories of its awards. From this season forward, the league will recognize the entire coaching staff, not just the head coach, for their excellent leadership, strategies, and influence on the team's performance.

Further, new award categories have been introduced, including the Fans' Choice, ALL-STAR Team 1 & 2, and Most Improved Player of the Season awards. The Most Valuable Player (MVP) award will be split into three categories: MVP of the Game, MVP of the Match, and MVP of the Week.

MPL Smart Battle Trips Return

This initiative, which invites MLBB communities from cities, schools, or workplaces to visit the MPL PH arena and witness the action firsthand, is being revived by MPL PH. The league will extend an invitation to approximately 40 students and community members from Luzon to view the tournament offline in collaboration with MLBB Community Heroes and Student Leaders (CHSL). Workshops will be conducted to demonstrate the opportunities that are available in the gaming and esports industry.

Additionally, the league will be hosting the inaugural MPL Infinix FANSiklaban, which will allow fans to represent their teams in a mini-MPL league while also advocating for a worthy cause. Additional information will be disclosed in the near future.
