During the Tokyo Game Show 2024, NetEase Games and Bad Guitar Studio revealed the dates for the closed beta test (CBT) of FragPunk, an upcoming rule-breaking 5v5 hero shooter game for console and PC devices. New content, including a map, shard cards, and lancers, was also unveiled.
If you are interested in joining, here's the FragPunk closed beta test information you need to know:
- Schedule: October 10 to 21, 2024
- Platforms: PC (via Steam) and Xbox Series X|S
- Availability: North America, Europe, Latin America, Japan, and South Korea
- Supported languages: English, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, German, French, Japanese, and Korean
Players who go through the Closed Alpha Test in June via Steam will also have automatic access to the Closed Beta Test added directly into their Steam Library without any additional registration. Xbox users can register for the Closed Beta Test starting today using the Xbox Insider Hub app, and PC players can register at the game's official page on Steam.
Note that all data, including progress and items, will be totally deleted when CBT is done.
However, the good news is participants of FragPunk CBT will receive special rewards upon the game's official launch.
New Content: Map, Shard Cards, Lancers
During the Tokyo Game Show 2024, the FragPunk trailer unveiled a portion of the content that will be included in the forthcoming Closed Beta Test. These consist of new Lancers, Shard Cards, and game modes that players can explore. Additionally, there are numerous maps on which to engage in battle.
Sonar and Spider are two new Lancers that will be playable. These characters are exceptional support characters due to their buff abilities, which will enhance the performance of their allies. They will be introduced in conjunction with a variety of new, potent weapons that have the potential to improve the arsenals of all Lancers in the game.
The closed beta will also feature the introduction of new Shard Cards that can modify the rules of combat. The "Birdman" card, which enables players to glide across the battlefield, and two status effect cards, "Flashlight" and "Safety Glasses," are among the available options.
