Game Overview
"Ragnarok: Monster World" (ROMW) is a free-to-play strategy mobile game set in the beloved universe of Ragnarok Online (RO), an MMORPG developed by Gravity. Published by ZERO X AND, the card-based tower defense game incorporates elements of NFT (non-fungible token), a blockchain technology, with a P2E (Play-To-Earn) model.
Players take on the role of Tamers. They can collect unique monsters, build ultimate monster decks, advance to powerful classes, and engage in real-time global battles (PvP).
In Ragnarok Monster World, Ragmons are essential characters with unique abilities and skills. Each Ragmon has its own movesets, size, and appearance, providing players with a customized experience. You can build your team based on these characteristics, creating decks that match their strategic preferences. This allows players to bring their own personality and style into the battle scene, commanding their team with special user character skill sets.
At launch, players will encounter 30–40 Ragmons. More monsters will be added each season. Notably, each season will include a balance patch, encouraging players to create new strategies and adjust their decks to match the updated stats of their Ragmons. It's easy to learn but hard to master — the game is always evolving.
You can own Ragmons in two ways: on-chain as NFTs and off-chain. This lets you choose from various Ragmon options that suit your strategy. Off-chain Ragmons are also available for both Web2 and Web3 users, making sure everyone has a fair chance. If you have an off-chain Ragmon, you can convert it to an on-chain Ragmon. This makes it easier for Web2 users to join in and enjoy playing across different platforms.
Each Ragmon has a different rarity: Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythic, with Mythic being the rarest. Ragmons start at Level 1 and can reach Level 10 within their rarity.
The Level Up Merge feature helps Ragmon creatures grow stronger. Players can increase a Ragmon's level and abilities by merging it with other Ragmons. The chance of success of the merge depends on factors like the number of Ragmons used and their levels.
Each Ragmon has its own signature skill, which varies in effectiveness based on its attack type and abilities. Ragmons' attack types can be broadly grouped into two main categories: attack range and attack target.
You can improve your chances of getting Ragmons by joining quests. Completing the quests will earn you rewards like Nyang Kits, which will give you more Ragmons. Also, lucky Tamers may find Ragmons through Gacha or Lottery events.
