Philippine fiber provider Converge ICT Solutions has entered the satellite internet scene through its partnership with Elon Musk-owned Starlink.
In a statement, Converge said this collaboration will "deliver broadband internet to remote regions in the country." It also "aims to bring unparalleled, high-speed, low-latency satellite solutions to businesses and government sectors nationwide."
For the uninitiated, Starlink, the world's largest satellite constellation in Low Earth Orbit (LEO), offers broadband internet with 20-60 milliseconds latency and download speeds up to 200 Mbps. This makes it perfect for HD video conferencing, cloud computing, real-time financial transactions, and remote-controlled industrial activities.
Here are the anticipated Starlink products that Converge are authorized to resell:
- Starlink Flat High Performance – Ideal for power users and businesses, offering enhanced speeds in high temperatures, improved satellite connections, and resilience in extreme environments.
- Starlink Enterprise – Ideal for power users and fixed-site businesses. Offers installation flexibility with a longer cable, various mount options, and direct connection to third-party routers as well as custom setups.
- Starlink Mini – Portable kit that fits in a backpack, offering low-latency, high-speed internet on the go.
Converge CEO and Co-Founder Dennis Anthony Uy said in a Facebook post:
We're among the few in the Philippines authorized by Starlink to resell its services — an acknowledgment of our deep market expertise and commitment to meeting the evolving needs of both enterprise and government clients. More importantly, this is about transforming the way businesses operate. We're bringing solutions that empower industries to scale and innovate, even in the most remote areas. This collaboration isn't just about connectivity — it's about bringing Starlink to Converge clients, which will transform the way businesses operate in even the most challenging locations. With Converge and Starlink, the future of enterprise connectivity in the Philippines has never looked brighter.
In remote regions, especially in mountainous areas and islands, where fiber subscription is too expensive, Converge can provide internet services to industries like construction, mining, agriculture, retail, and hospitality using Starlink's low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity.
As an authorized reseller, Converge offers complete Starlink systems installation, network management, monitoring, and maintenance. By combining Starlink's groundbreaking satellite technology with its industry-leading fiber services, Converge is offering the Philippines' best connectivity bundle.
