Blizzard revealed the first-ever roadmap for Diablo 4, The Age of Hatred. The roadmap details the game's upcoming updates, features, and collaborations in 2025 and teases content for 2026.
Players started the year with ravaging Witchcraft Powers in Season of Witchcraft. The Lord of Lies, Belial, will return, Sins of the Horadrim will reveal evil secrets, and late 2025 will bring the Infernal Chaos. The second expansion will launch in 2026.
Diablo IV – 2025 Roadmap: Highlights
The roadmap includes two IP collabs for Diablo IV this year, along with new seasonal content and permanent game additions. While devs can't reveal them, they are delighted to combine Diablo with dark-themed universes.
Belial, Lord of Lies, bends reality to his will. Daring wanderers can fight Belial and two Vessel of Hatred enemies in the revamped Lair Boss system. The developers add additional activities and interactions to Nightmare Dungeons to increase its difficulty as you pursue Hell's barons. Further, you now have additional choices, making Infernal Horde more chaotic. Advanced options between Infernal Waves will also arrive.
Diablo IV will have quality-of-life (QoL) updates in addition to seasonal updates. The much-requested console keyboard and mouse capabilities will give you more control over Sanctuary once it arrives. Battle Pass and Seasonal Journey will receive core system upgrades to improve their gameplay.
Here's what you can expect in Diablo 4 in its second year.

- Content: Boss powers (Quests & Reputation Board), Apparition Incursion activity, Earnable feline pet, New IP collab, 2-year anniversary
- Permanent additions: New Lair bosses (Belial, Urivar, Harbinger), Lair bosses QoL, Reliquaries, Season Journey update
- Season 9 (July to September 2025)
- Content: Horadric powers (Quests & Reputation Board), Dungeon escalation, Earnable pet
- Permanent additions: New Nightmare Dungeons activities, Console keyboard and mouse support, and more
- Season 10 (September to December 2025)
- Content: Chaos powers (Quests & Reputation Board), Infernal Hordes update, Earnable pet, New IP collab
- Permanent additions: To be announced
- 2026
