Version 1.7 Overview
Zenless Zone Zero V1.7 "Bury Your Tears with the Past" will be available on April 23, 2025, for PlayStation 5 Pro, PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android. The latest patch update will feature the grand finale of Season One and two S-Rank Agents from the Mockingbird group.
After Hugo's descent into the Hollow, Mockingbird and TOPS tensions rise, and this chapter reveals deeper mysteries. Players will enter enemy territory with Vivian to find the Sacrifice Core, uncover her enigmatic past with old acquaintances, and reveal the Exaltists' plot. With a powerful new ally, the Sacrifice crisis climaxes, revealing the truth behind the chaos.
Vivian, from the Mockingbird faction, is an S-Rank Ether Anomaly Agent. She moves gracefully in battle using a parasol and rapier, switching easily between attacks on the ground and in the air. Her Basic Attack, called Featherbloom, increases Anomaly damage and synergizes with her teammates' EX Special Attacks to improve the team's Corruption damage.
Hugo, also from the Mockingbird faction, is an S-Rank Ice Attack Agent. He uses a suitcase that turns into a sharp scythe, allowing him to slash through enemies and sweep the area with powerful attacks. When he hits stunned enemies, he can activate the Totalize effect, which boosts his damage based on how much stun time they have left.
Robin, Mockingbird's quick Bangboo companion, throws cards at enemies. These cards have different effects that can vary.
Moreover, S-Rank agents Jane Doe (Physical, Anomaly) and Lighter (Fire, Stun) will rerun in this version's banners.
Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.7 offers players a chance to relax or face new challenges with in-game events. In "Say It With Flowers," players manage a flower shop, creating arrangements for clients to unlock a permanent floral gameplay feature in Quality Time mode and earn exclusive rewards like A-Rank Bangboo Overtimeboo.
For those seeking excitement, the Bangboo Bash comes back with a ranked mode. Players receive points for match placement and rank in obstacle and survival courses. Leaderboard-toppers get Polychromes, event titles, and other rewards.
Xbox Version Coming Soon
Zenless Zone Zero will launch on Xbox in June 2025 with Version 2.0. Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Cloud Gaming will let Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members play the game across devices without downloads. The Xbox version includes optimizations for a refined gaming experience. Xbox players can now wishlist Zenless Zone Zero.
This version supports native 4K resolution at 60 FPS with DirectX RayTracing and HDR with Xbox Series X|S' improved GPU performance. The exclusive "Quick Resume" function lets players switch between numerous active games without loading.
In addition to visual and performance improvements, Zenless Zone Zero will optimize the Xbox controller with customized vibration feedback to increase battle immersion and impact. Cross-progression and server selection between platforms are supported. After the game launches on Xbox Cloud Gaming, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can play it without downloading or owning an Xbox console.
Since its global release in July 2024, Zenless Zone Zero has improved its gameplay and mechanics based on player input. In Version 2.0, players will begin a new chapter at Waifei Peninsula, where city life and Hollow adventure blend, creating a more unified and immersive plot. With the game's Xbox release, more players may experience its bright urban fantasy setting and thrilling combat.
