Magic Chess: Go Go global launch set for May 28, 2025

Magic Chess: Go Go (MCGG) will be released globally on May 28, 2025, on Android and iOS platforms, Mobile Legends maker Moonton Games announced. The global launch of the free-to-play multiplayer strategy game coincides with the start of Season 2 for all regions.

Earlier, MCGG was launched in February 2025 in APAC, including here in the Philippines. The game has surpassed 20 million pre-registrations, becoming one of this year's most popular mobile titles.

What Is Magic Chess: Go Go All About?

It was created by the original development team from MOONTON. The casual auto-battler chess game takes place in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) universe and lets players become master strategists.

In Magic Chess Go Go, you command familiar Mobile Legends heroes to build your best lineup. Eight players compete at the same time in chessboard matches. Each player fights on their own, testing their decision-making and strategies in real-time over several rounds to see who stands as the last strategist.

Season 2 Comes With New Synergies and Systems

Season 2: Blessing of Embers expands upon the core mechanics of Season 1 but adds a new twist. This new season focuses on the fight between Gods and Demons, introducing new Synergies, potent combat buffs, and systems.

Further, six new Synergies will be introduced, bringing the total to ten. These unique buffs will be activated when heroes from an identical faction are deployed. Each faction has its unique power that can quickly change the Chessboard.

Blessing Mechanic will also debut. If players have three or more of the same heroes that have leveled up to the same level, they can trigger a Blessing. This will add an extra Synergy or Role to their teams. You can unlock Ultra Synergy by activating a total of 10 Synergies. To do this, you need to have six different heroes from the same faction, along with Blessing and Magic Crystal bonuses, which will significantly boost your lineup.
