Top 18 HOK teams head to Riyadh for KWC 2025 in July

The top eighteen HOK teams competing at the Honor of Kings World Cup 2025 will compete for glory and a USD 3 million prize pool. KWC, the MOBA game's biggest tournament, is part of the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025, which will be held in Riyadh, Saud Arabia, from July 15 to 26. Check out all the qualified squads per regional pro league below.

Meanwhile, there are Honor of Kings gift codes that have been unveiled that you can redeem for some items in-game.

18 Teams Head to KWC 2025

Honor of Kings Esports revealed the results of its seven regional professional leagues and the 2025 Honor of Kings World Cup. Seven elite teams won regional competitions worldwide, sealing their berth on the world stage.

In total, 18 of the world's top HOK teams will compete for the triumph in the KWC at EWC 25.

Here are the highlights of HOK's seven regional pro leagues for the Spring Season.

Philippine Kings League (PKL)
From June 6 to 8, hundreds of spectators attended the 2025 PKL Spring Playoffs at One Ayala to watch Boom Esports, Blacklist International, ACT Esports Club, Rough World Era Kadiliman, Elevate, and Eureka play thrilling matches. Champions Boom Esports won the largest share of USD 45,000, followed by Blacklist International and ACT Esports Club.

Malaysia Honor of Kings League (MKL)
At the 2025 MKL Spring Playoffs at Sunway Pyramid from June 6 to 8, Nova Esports, Black Shrew Esport, Team Secret, O2 Esports, Alpha Gaming, and DTE Gaming fought fiercely. Nova Esports won the first title and will advance to KWC 2025 along with Black Shrew Esport and Alpha Gaming.

Indonesia King Laga (IKL)
From May 30 to June 1, the 2025 IKL Spring Playoffs saw Kagendra, Dominator Esports, Bigetron by Vitality, Rex Regum Qeon, Talon Esports ID, and ONIC compete for the championship at Taman Anggrek Mall. Kagendra, the league's inaugural champion, together with Dominator Esports and Team Vitality, will represent their region at KWC 2025 in Riyadh.

Honor of Kings Brazil Championship (CHOKBR)
In late May, the CHOKBR Fall 2025 playoffs began, pitting the eight best Brazilian squads against each other to determine the season's champions. Loops won the Grand Final, while Alpha7 Esports finished second, qualifying for the KWC 2025.

Wildcard Kings Series (WKS)
The online 2025 WKS Spring Playoffs pitted Paws Gaming, Fearless Esports HK, and Paradise Esports against each other for a spot at KWC 2025. Paws Gaming emerged as the winner and will represent the wildcard region in Riyadh.

Major East League (KME)
The 2025 KME Spring Playoffs ended on May 3 after a thrilling season with seven elite teams from Japan, South Korea, South Asia, and MENA (Middle East and North Africa). Nongshim RedForce (South Korea) defeated Gen.G Esports (Morocco) in the grand final to win the tournament. R8 Esports placed third, following a solid lower bracket. This win sent Nongshim RedForce to the KWC 2025 in Riyadh, representing Major East.

Major West League (KMW)
The 2025 KMW Spring Playoffs finished on May 4 after seven WEU, EEU, LATAM, and North American teams competed intensely. Twisted Minds (Italy) defeated OG Esports (Italy) in a thrilling 3-2 grand final. Twisted Minds won the tournament with gutsy plays and clutch calls after falling behind 0-2. Kazakhstan's Virtus Pro finished third, capping a breakthrough season. Twisted Minds will represent Major West at the World Cup after their comeback triumph.

Major Last Call
KMW and KME 2nd-place finishers OG Esports and Gen.G Esports faced off in a high-stakes BO5 at the 2025 Major Last Call. OG Esports defeated Gen.G 3-0 to secure a World Cup spot.

On the other hand, Honor of Kings noted that the highly anticipated KWC 2025 will have live audiences and global live-streaming in multiple languages. Further, there will be exclusive in-game rewards and fan engagement events throughout the tournament.
