Blood Strike mixed things up with a brand new Pixel Mode, turning the game into Block Strike.
NetEase Games has released a new update for its mobile battle royale shooter. The July 2025 patch introduces a new pixelated mode that changes the game into a blocky version of itself. This includes a pixel art style and Block Piles filled with loot scattered across the map.
"The Blood Strike x TaCZ collaboration has arrived," read the X post of Blood Strike Official. For those unfamiliar with TaCZ (Timeless and Classics Zero), it is a famous mod in a sandbox game.
Moreover, the update includes some exciting features. You can now use the Shard Store to unlock upgrades during mid-match. There are also new Airdrops, Shadow Pearls, and Portals, which will help you make more strategic choices.
"Block Strike," along with its features, will run until August 10, 2025. Free gold, three Ultra skins, and more rewards await players.
Block Strike
Shutter Island is now in a retro pixel universe. Enjoy classic Blood Strike gameplay mixed with fast-paced shooting and block-building.
All characters, items, and the user interface have been redesigned in a retro block style.
New Block Piles
New Block Piles are spread across the map. Use a melee attack to destroy them and get valuable loot.
- Shard Buffs (Jump height, Speed boost, One-time shield, X-ray vision)

- Rare Drops: Gold Pouch (bonus currency), Shadow Pearl (teleport item)
New Shard Store
Collect currency and use it in the new Shard Store to earn tactical perks and upgrade your loadout for the pixel fight.

Special Shadow Airdrops offer Shadow Pearls and loot (rare). Compete for these valuable supplies in each match.

- Portals: A brand-new map mechanic connects faraway zones for high-speed rotations and quick escapes.
