Free Fire at EWC 2025: ID's EVOS crowned champions

Indonesia's EVOS Divine declared Esports World Cup: Free Fire 2025 champions after dominating the other 11 teams in the grand finals.

On July 20 in Riyadh, team EVOS Divine won with a magnificent display of strategy, talent, and tenacity. The squad claimed the Free Fire EWC 2025 championship title by being the first to secure a Booyah after meeting the Champion Rush criteria of 80 points.

With the nerve-racking win, EVOS Divine bagged USD 300K from the USD 1,050,000 prize pool and qualified for the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Global Finals, where the top 18 teams compete for ultimate glory.

Last year, the Indonesians finished second in the Free Fire EWC, seven points behind the winner. EVOS Divine player Aji Apri "AimGOD" Wicaksono was proud of his teammates and thanked management and fans for the team's success.

AimGOD said:
I am just so elated about our win. We never imagined that we would make it to the champion's stage at the Esports World Cup. At the recent Southeast Asia Spring tournament, we did not perform well and placed low, but we never gave up. We overhauled our roles and strategies, and today, all our hard work has paid off. This victory is for everyone who believed we could rise again.

Free Fire EWC 2025 Grand Finals Recap

EVOS Divine showed unrelenting aggression and won a Booyah in the third round, beating Thailand's Team Falcons, last year's champions, early in the grand finals.

Despite several tries, EVOS couldn't catch up as Team Vitality of Indonesia and LOS of Brazil scored 2 Booyahs each. Round 10 saw EVOS Divine's 16-year-old Rasyah Rasyid make a crucial play that changed the game. The team clinched the final Booyah, and Rasyah was named the Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP), becoming one of the youngest Esports World Cup 2025 MVPs. Further, Rasyah made his very first world championship debut at this tournament.

Coming Up Next: Free Fire All Stars and FFWS Global Finals 2025

Moreover, the FFWS Global Finals 2025 will pit the best FF teams against each other for the top prize. In Jakarta, Indonesia, 18 squads will compete in the game's biggest tournament over three weekends from late October to mid-November.

Apart from the Free Fire 2025 Esports events, I would be willing to hear your thoughts about the Solara map (which debuted at the game's 8th anniversary), the Squid Game collab, and the game's upcoming anime. – PinoyTechSaga
