On July 30, 2025, Genshin Impact's Version 5.8 will bring the first Nod-Krai character, Ineffa, a new permanent summer-themed region in the Natlan map, Easybreeze Holiday Resort, and colorful seasonal events with rewards. Easybreeze Holiday Resort in Natlan
Players can explore Easybreeze Holiday Resort, a bustling new island region off Natlan's west coast. The adventure will reunite Chasca, Bennett, and Mualani. Venti appears, likely visiting an old acquaintance, as further explained in "Sunspray Summer Resort," the new Story Quest.
The resort's joyful mascot, "Asha," gives players Saurian-like exploratory powers that allow them to glide across waters and hover briefly throughout the resort's layers. As professional spray painters, the Asha friends can solve puzzles and reveal resort secrets using their color. Hidden underneath the joyful resort is Mare Jivari, where the immortal monster boss Bakunawa awaits new opponents.
New Seasonal Events
Sunspray Spirit can be earned through various mini-games: Guide Akamai and Kau Kau in "Travels Are Fuller With Friends." Aim at enemies in "Strikers Through the Storm." Enjoy intense music parties or spray-paint items as Asha.
After collecting enough Sunspray Spirit, unlock amazing free rewards, including the 4-star Claymore "Flame-Forged Insight" (event-exclusive) and Bennett's new skin, "Adventures in Blazing Hue."
Story of Nod-Krai
The new series "Song of the Welkin Moon" will tell the Nod-Krai region's narrative. In the Genshin Impact V5.8 prelude chapter, "The Journey Home," will introduce the region's first character, Ineffa, the Whiz-Kid Mechanic Aino of Nod-Krai's all-purpose household robot.
Players will travel around Natlan with Ineffa to discover her origins, which appear to be tied to the ancient dragon society.
New Character
The new Lunar-Charged reaction will be introduced by 5-star Electro polearm user Ineffa, who can battle when her combat module is enabled. When she's on the team, party members' Electro-Charged reactions become Lunar-Charged. When activated, a Thundercloud occurs on the battlefield, causing Electro DMG to opponents simultaneously affected by both Hydro and Electro and perhaps triggering CRIT Hits.
During fights, Ineffa can summon the Multipurpose Smart Assistance Unit "Birgitta" and deploy a shield. Birgitta can dash toward foes periodically to deal AoE Electro DMG and will attack if a Lunar-Charged Thundercloud is nearby.
More Updates and Optimizations
Yelan, an old acquaintance from Liyue, wears a Fontaine-style outfit and uses a sophisticated photography device to hide his involvement in a complicated Fontaine case. Get Yelan's new skin, "Tranquil Banquet," at a discount for a limited time.
Moreover, this breezy summer Genshin Impact update includes system enhancements. New Trial and Talent screens for recently released characters now have brief, cloud-streamed tutorial clips to help players learn how to use them. Quest time management is also simplified—press the "Navigate" button and the in-game clock adjusts automatically. Further, players can now readily identify characters that can recognize regional specialties thanks to improved material tracking.
