Before 2025 ends, the new Version 3.8 update of Honkai: Star Rail, titled "Memories are the Prelude to Dreams," will launch on December 17 (Asia servers). As per HoYoverse, the HSR patch V3.8 will have a longer duration, lasting roughly 8 weeks.
After Amphoreus's spectacular journey, the Astral Express will head to Penacony before its next enthralling space dream destination. The "Planet of Festivities" has a different vibe this time, enabling gamers to discover new mysteries. Journey with new five-star character Constance: The Dahlia and experience limited-time events and banners.

Honkai Star Rail Version 3.8 Update Overview
Interstellar vacationers party and enjoy fun at Penacony, Land of Dreams. A previous chapter in the Charmony Festival saw the Astral Express awaken those in lovely dreams, empowering them to control their reality. Many surprises lurk beneath the seemingly ideal journey. After the climactic battle with Amphoreus, Constance "The Dahlia" unexpectedly appears and reveals that the Trailblazer's memories are imperfect and some vital bits have been stolen. The Trailblazer will piece together a complete and genuine Penacony tale with her help.
In HSR version 3.8, players will see Firefly's journey into the dreamscape, meeting them, and facing the battlefields. All questions will be answered individually. As she travels, the Dream of Gnawing Oak and the Family's seat of power will emerge from memories. Firefly also meets an old comrade from her Glamoth Iron Cavalry Knight days.
Penacony's memory-hunting journey will include the new playable character Constance "The Dahlia." Though her father, Duke Inferno, had big plans that failed, she arrived in Penacony. Her power to enkindle and create memories is tied to her Remembrance path. She is supposed to be used to treachery from her time with the Garden of Recollection and Black Swan. However, The Dahlia will help Trailblazers recover the memories and finish the Penaconian adventure. These memories are important to her and the Trailblazers.
The Dahlia is a five-star support character with the Fire element who follows the Path of Nihility. She works best with characters that do Break DMG. In battle, The Dahlia can create a gloomy Zone that lasts for a while. During this Zone, Toughness Reduction from allies can cause Super Break DMG, even if the enemies haven't had their Weakness Broken yet. As a skilled dancer, Constance can invite a teammate to be a "Dance Partner." When either Dance Partner attacks an enemy, they will deal extra Super Break DMG. Her Ultimate Skill applies each Dance Partner's Type Weakness to enemies, making Toughness Reduction more effective.

Honkai Star Rail Version 3.8 will have three stages of Event Warps (Banners).

- Featured Light Cones: [5-star Long Road Leads Home and Scent Alone Stays True], [4-star Geniuses' Repose, Post-Op Conversation, and The Moles Welcome You]
- Phase 3 (January 28, 2026 – February 12, 2026)
- Featured Characters: [5-star Aglaea and Sunday], [4-star Tingyun, Yukong, and Dan Heng]
- Featured Light Cones: [5-star Time Woven Into Gold and A Grounded Ascent], [4-star Geniuses' Greetings, Trend of the Universal Market, and Dance! Dance! Dance!]
"The Chrysos Awoo Championship" is among the new events. As a special visitor, players will train their own chimeras to make a powerful team for a championship triumph. In addition, the "Remnants of Twilight" event will feature battle challenges that need strategic thinking and decisive action.
