The first-ever GO1 World Championship of the mobile auto chess game Magic Chess: Go Go (MCGG) has successfully concluded on January 25, 2026, in Indonesia, with TTTS Floxy from Russia emerging as the champion.
Emil "Floxy" Sagetdinov, representing the EECA region, beat eight fiercely competitive finalists. He won the series after showing strategy and composure to earn his position on the world stage.
MCGG's inaugural offline world championship, GO1, is a milestone in its competitive ecosystem. The tournament placed Magic Chess Go Go into the M Series limelight, where its initial winner competed with the finest mobile esports athletes. It provided a competitive element to the M7 event and gave rising esports talent a global stage.
Gao "Skyhook" Chong, Magic Chess: Go Go producer, stated:
With MOONTON Games at the forefront of esports, strategically, GO1 plays a key role in shaping how we lead the global landscape. MCGG is built on democratic and accessible competition, meaning esports talent from all walks of life have a chance to emerge as champions. Running GO1 alongside the M Series gives aspiring players a shot at the spotlight while helping us discover and nurture talent across regions. This approach allows us to build a competitive ecosystem—one where emerging players can compete at the highest levels and contribute to the reach of esports worldwide.
Viktor Proniakin, Esports Charts product manager, shared:
The GO1 World Championship reached a peak viewership of 278,121, setting a new all-time record for the discipline and surpassing the previous peak by approximately 75%. This performance places GO1 among the fastest-growing esports titles and highlights the strong competitive potential not only of the game itself, but of the auto battler genre as a whole.
MCGG is a 2025 mobile game highlight. Two weeks after its global launch, the game reached 30 million downloads and won the 2025 Google Play Best Game Award in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. Its strong competitive structure—international, regional, local, and community tournaments—has fueled this momentum. The game was the first mobile Auto Chess game during the 33rd SEA Games in 2025. MCGG athletes debuted among the region's top athletes.
To MCGG players, I just want to share that the game also revealed some events with rewards.
