The start of the global Honor of Kings (HOK) esports calendar for 2026 has been officially marked by the conclusion of HOK Invitational Season 4 (KIS4) in Jakarta.
And once again, reigning KIS3 champs Nova Esports proved that Malaysia is the strongest region in HOK Global Esports.
In the HOK KIS4 Grand Finals, Nova Esports were crowned champions after a dominant 4–0 sweep against South Korea's Nongshim RedForce.
The Malaysian team, composed of Xuan, KongLing, Wendy, Muci, and Weipit, took home the grand prize of USD 35,000 from the USD 100,000 prize pool.
With his unmatched skill and pentakill heroics, Nova Esports' farm laner Muci was named Finals MVP (FMVP).
Meanwhile, our very own Philippine squads Blacklist International and BOOM Esports both entered the Semifinals and fell to Nova Esports and NS RedForce, respectively. They settled for a 3rd-4th place finish.
The KIS4 Finals at the GBK Basketball Hall featured top-tier international competition and a big cultural and entertainment event, highlighting Indonesia in esports.
Besides the main KIS4 tournament, the Honor of Kings Women's Series 3 (KWS3) was also held. And our very own Filipina squad HYVE All Star defeated defending champions AG Global. Further, the National Star Challenge saw Philippines' Chanosquad International win the Tri-National Showdown over regional influencer teams.
Also, I should add that Honor of Kings unveiled its 2026 esports roadmap. It includes expanded grassroots competitions, the return of HOK to the Esports World Cup (EWC) in July, participation in the inaugural Esports Nations Cup (ENC) in November, and inclusion as an official medal event at the 20th Asian Games in Japan in September. So, stay locked in for a year of non-stop HOK action. – PinoyTechSaga
