Returning to the Games of the Future this summer, Mobile Legends brings its fast-paced, high-stakes action to the phygital stage.
Further, Mobile Legends will be played five-on-five at GOTF 2026, with the best teams from around the world competing for the USD 900k prize pool (around PHP 55M).
The competition will be held at the Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov Martial Arts Palace from August 6 to 9 as part of a multi-discipline program for mobile and PC esports titles.
William Al-Badeesh, Publisher Relations & IP Licensing Lead at Phygital International, stated:
At GOTF 2025, millions of fans who couldn't be in Abu Dhabi were still part of the moment, through streamers co-casting live in their own languages, building their own communities around every match. That kind of organic reach is something you can't manufacture. MLBB brings its entire world with it wherever it competes, and that's exactly the standard we want at the Games of the Future 2026.
Last year's Mobile Legends event saw ONIC overcome Aurora Gaming to win the MOBA Mobile title.
The global competitiveness of the discipline was underscored by the matchup, which brought together notable talents such as ONIC's Kairi "Kairi" Rayosdelsol and Aurora's Mehmet "Lunar" Ilgun.
Audience involvement increased with that momentum. MOBA contests accounted for 45% of event viewership, confirming their popularity among global esports viewers.
Mobile Legends, along with Dota 2 (MOBA PC event), will return in 2026, bolstering the genre within the tournament's multi-title roster and global esports appeal.
From July 29 to August 9, GOTF 2026 will bring together approximately 900 participants from 50 nations in Astana, building on previous successes. Over 100,000 people are anticipated to attend, with hundreds of millions more watching on broadcast and online platforms.
The MOBA Mobile qualification pathways, list of participating teams, and competition schedule will be revealed in the coming weeks, so guys, I recommend you check out @gamesofthefutureofficial on Facebook and Instagram for more info and updates. – PinoyTechSaga
