Nuverse has released the Pet System Update to Ragnarok X: Next Generation on August 13, 2021. Check out the features of the new update below.
Ragnarok X: Next Generation Pet System
As some of the veteran players of the original Ragnarok Online might recall, the pet system allows players to capture and raise a limited number of monster companions, with the pets faithfully accompanying their owners on their adventures. Pets will follow their owners around and become an active part of each adventurer’s battle strategies in Ragnarok X: Next Generation.
Pet Skills
Each pet in Ragnarok X will be born with a special talent that highlights their special passive traits. This endows each pet with its own strength, which means they’ll be an invaluable asset on your adventures. Poring and a slew of other adoring pets are already awaiting their owners.
Additionally, by increasing the pet’s Intimacy level through special props, each pet can learn up to six active skills that can be used during combat. Because each pet’s skills are randomly selected from a larger pool of established skills, you may need to experiment to find the optimal combination of skills for your needs.
Moreover, there is the Bond level, which works similarly to the Bond Card system.
16 Pets Available on this Update
Players can collect 16 pets – 9 must be caught, 6 must be evolved, and Phreeoni will only be available during events. Players have an abundance of customization options to make their pets the ideal companions both in and out of combat.
What level is required to unlock the pet system in Ragnarok X: Next Generation?
To gain access to the pet system, players must reach a base level of 60. After gaining access to the system, adventurers must complete three guided quests that teach them how to purchase a slingshot, load it, and access the Pet Encyclopedia. After completing these three quests, they can begin their journey toward becoming a pet master.
Special events
Players can participate in two special events as part of the Pet System Update, both of which offer unique rewards. Players will be divided into two factions during the Poring vs. Lunatic event and will compete to earn the most Favor Points by completing daily quests. Whereas in the Pet Adventures Event, players can either play a Monopoly-style board game or hunt down monsters via ‘Odin’s Blessings’ to earn ‘Activity’ that can be exchanged for prizes at the event’s Exchange Store.
To recall, Ragnarok X: Next Generation is a RO mobile version fully faithful to the classic Ragnarok Online. It features 3D design, next-generation gameplay, original classes, demons, and more. The game was released in Southeast Asia on June 18, 2021.
