NetEase Games has officially launched its space strategy game Infinite Lagrange in Asian regions, such as Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia. It is available for download on Google Play (Android), Apple App Store (iOS), and the game’s official website (infinitelagrange.com) for PC users.
The game has been featured on the company’s annual product launch event, NetEase Connect, in May 2021. The following month, Infinite Lagrange has opened its pre-registration for Southeast Asia, Japan, and South Korea regions.
Background
The game story follows a spatial resonance that was discovered by chance during a routine experiment. The stable spatial resonance points are called “Lagrange nodes,” and they serve as the basis for the construction of stargates that provide rapid access to other galaxies, thereby forming a vast Milky way transportation network.
The new discovery ushered in unprecedented prosperity and expansion but also sparked conflict and unrest. There are a finite number of Lagrange nodes, and the battle for them eventually escalated into a galaxy-wide war. Thus, the universe ended with the decline of civilization, technological regression, and transportation and communication infrastructure destruction.
Nobody can be left out as history unfolds. As promised, the postwar renaissance occurred with the emergence of new forces. Players will take on the role of the leader of one force tasked with exploring the uncharted universe, meandering through the mysterious universe in search of a way to “rebuild the stargate.”
Season Cycles
“Cycles” are the seasons referred to in the game. Infinite Lagrange makes use of the game season mechanic. Each new season, players can begin a new round of exploration and conquest and collaborate on a series of season goals, the ultimate of which is “rebuilding the stargate.”
Each season completed by players contributes to the advancement of history and enables players to begin at a higher point. As the game progresses, players will unlock alternate ending scenarios and learn about the universe’s rich history. With this sophisticated plan, players can progress through the game at the same rate as history, giving them the sense of being a true creator in history.
