Xiaomi, through its Twitter account, has announced that the Redmi 10 is coming soon. It was then followed by a series of tweets, including the highlights of the entry-level phone.
The Redmi 10 is equipped with a 50MP AI quad-camera and a 90Hz FHD+ display based on Xiaomi’s tweet. According to the subsequent tweet, the first 50MP AI quad-camera of the Redmi Series also comes with dual speakers.
Meanwhile, the phone brand accidentally leaked the specs of the Redmi 10 ahead of its August 18 launch through its official blog. However, the blog post is now deleted, but Google’s cache of the page is accessible.
According to the cached page, the Redmi 10 features a 90Hz 6.5-inch FHD+ DotDisplay with adaptive sync (45/60/90Hz).
It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 SoC, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. The device packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W wired fast charging and 9W wired reverse charging support. Also, it ships with a 22.5W in-box charger.
Xiaomi Redmi 10 comes with a quad rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary shooter, 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, 2-megapixel macro lens, and 2-megapixel depth sensors. There’s an 8MP selfie camera housed in the display’s centered punch-hole.
Other specs include dual stereo speakers, 4G LTE, microSD slot, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, face unlock, Reading Mode 3.0, and MIUI 12.5 software based on Android 11.
Moreover, the Redmi 10 will be available in three RAM/storage variants, including 4GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB, and 6GB+128GB. It also comes with three color choices: Carbon Gray, Pebble White, and Sea Blue.
