The beta test of Electronic Arts’ mobile shooter game, Battlefield Mobile, will start in fall 2021 in the Philippines and Indonesia.
According to EA Games, it will roll out the Battlefield Mobile, starting with a series of smaller playtests in the said regions. Filipino and Indonesian gamers can now pre-register for the game on Google Play Store. As EA noted, this test for Battle Mobile is invitation only with a server registration limit on a first-come, first-serve basis.
How to pre-register for Battlefield Mobile on Android for the Philippines and Indonesia?
- To pre-register for Battlefield Mobile, go to the game’s page on the Google Play Store.
- Tap on the “Pre-register” button, and you will be notified when the game will be available.
Currently, the mobile shooter game is only available for Android devices running Android 7.0 OS and up. EA Games also noted that the game should not be sideloaded through a third-party website or direct APK download.
As EA Games progress with testing, they’ll expand the size of these tests, add more regions, and implement iOS support.
Once the beta phase was concluded, all player’s progress will be wiped out.
To recap, Battlefield Mobile is the mobile port of the popular shooter franchise slated for release in 2022. It is being developed by EA-owned mobile development studio Industrial Toys. The existing Battlefield Team, DICE Studio, and other partners are working together.
The mobile version of Battlefield will not support cross-platform gameplay between consoles and PCs, as it is built primarily for mobile devices.
The Battlefield Mobile will be a free-to-play game with in-game purchases. EA Mobile has confirmed that these will be skins or cosmetics rather than pay to win. Moreover, it will have its own Battle Passes, collectible cosmetics, and unlockables different from the Battlefield PC and console versions.
For the contents of the beta phase, Battlefield Mobile will only feature the Grand Bazaar map and the classic Battlefield game mode, Conquest. Additional details on the in-game content will be revealed closer to the game’s official launch.
