Coins.ph brings back cash-in via 7-Eleven
Mobile wallet app Coins.ph has announced that it re-enabled cash-in transactions through any of 7-Eleven’s over 3,000 branches in the Philippines.
According to Coins.ph, this move aims to provide a widely accessible and convenient option for customers who prefer an in-person, over-the-counter instant cash-in.
Through this collaboration, over 15 million Coins.ph customers will be able to fund their wallets in real-time via three different methods at 7-Eleven.
The 3 cash-in methods for Coins.ph are as follows:
  • Via the Coins.ph wallet app – generate a 7-Connect barcode through your Coins.ph wallet app and present it to the cashier to scan and make a payment.
  • Via CLiQQ kiosk in-store – customers can generate a barcode to present to the cashier and make a payment. This cash-in method is recommended for customers who are not bringing their phones to the store as well as those who don’t have mobile data.
  • Via CLiQQ mobile app – customers who have the CLiQQ mobile app can use the “Add e-Money” feature and present the generated barcode to the 7-Eleven cashier for payment.
Do note that all cash-in transactions conducted through 7-Eleven are subject to a 2% service fee.
This partnership is in line with Coins.ph’s mission to expand financial inclusion throughout Southeast Asia. It bolsters the company’s ongoing efforts to make wallet services more accessible to both banked and unbanked individuals.
“Bringing back this cash-in partnership is a joint effort at continuously finding ways to provide the best service to our customers,” said Philippine Seven Corporation president and CEO Jose Victor Paterno.
“Coins.ph’s goal is to provide financial access and inclusion to communities across the country,” said Coins.ph CEO Nauman Mustafa.
“We are continuously adding new services within Coins.ph to help Filipinos complete their transactions conveniently using their phone as their wallet,” added Mustafa.
Coins.ph, regulated by the government’s Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, provides customers with direct and secure access to digital financial services such as prepaid loading for Philippine and international mobile numbers, bill payments, domestic and international remittances, game credits purchase, online shopping, and even buying and selling virtual assets.
Signing up for a Coins.ph account is free and can be done on the Coins.ph website or downloading the app from Google Play or the App Store.
