PH’s third major telco DITO Telecommunity has passed the technical audit for its second-year commitments with the government’s National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).
Based on the regulatory filing on Tuesday, September 7, Dito CME Holdings said the telco received a notice from the NTC that it passed the technical audit for its second-year commitments such as national population coverage and minimum average broadband speed.
DITO achieved a 52.75% calculated national population coverage, according to the findings of the independent auditor, the NTC said.
Meanwhile, the minimum average broadband speeds or megabits per second (Mbps) were recorded at 89.13 Mbps and 853.96 Mbps for its 4G and 5G networks, respectively.
According to DITO’s commitments for its second year of operations, it should be able to cover 51.01% of the population, while the minimum average broadband speed should reach 55 Mbps.
