Globe launches GoLearn Program for students, educators
Globe has partnered with the Department of Education (DepEd) and Senator Joel Villanueva to launch its GoLearn, a unified, company-wide program aimed at helping educators and students.
GoLearn is an essential platform for anyone seeking to further their education. It promotes continuous learning and bridges the country’s digital divide in education by providing access to connectivity, learning platforms, and solutions.
Globe Head of Small, Medium Business Group, KD Dizon, said that they are committed to collaborating with the entire school system in order to realize everyone’s desire for a better education.
Senator Joel “Tesdaman” Villanueva, Chairman of the Philippine Senate’s Labor, Employment, and Human Resources Development Committees, as well as the Higher, Technical, and Vocational Education Committees, and Digital Learning Advocate, is assisting Globe in this endeavor.
Villanueva cited a study conducted by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on possible learning loss resulting from school closures and remote learning. The long-term effect on children may affect their competitiveness and work performance in the near future.
“Globe’s initiative will help a lot to ensure that children’s learning is continuous,” said Villanueva in Tagalog.
“Globe has been very helpful in providing connectivity, learning platforms, and learning management systems that we can use to supplement what we are already doing,” said Tonisito C. Umali, Undersecretary of Legislative Affairs, External Partnerships and School Sports of the Department of Education.
Globe’s various groups promote GoLearn Program:
  • Globe Enterprise’s upgraded Phinma Education data plan enables students from low-income households to access the new normal education.
  • Globe Small and Medium Enterprise aids institutions in transforming themselves digitally in order to improve teachers’ teaching abilities and students’ learning competencies. This is accomplished through its E-Skwela Webinars and Online Training Program, which aims to educate the education sector on the numerous benefits that digitalization provides to the advancement of quality education.
  • Globe At Home provides learning vouchers to its users via the Globe At Home app.
  • Globe Prepaid has organized a series of events or interactive experiences for students via Virtual Hangouts in order to foster meaningful relationships and revive school friendships.
  • TM has developed a FunAral E-Campus that will be implemented in collaboration with various TM Campus Connect partners and national school organizations to immerse students in fun and engaging virtual learning environment.
  • Globe subscribers can also access educational apps, learning activities, and resources.
  • Globe also pioneers in fostering a more secure online environment through programs that encourage cybersecurity and safety, responsible digital citizenship, and mental wellbeing.
“We hope you’re as excited as us to really raise the quality of education in the country together,” said Ernest Cu, Globe President and CEO.
“With the launch of GoLearn, know that the entire One Globe group is with you to continue to provide affordable connectivity, accessible platforms, and safer learning environment for all,” added Cu.
