Globe ramps up Fiber rollout, offers WiFi devices sale
Globe accelerated its deployment of high-speed broadband lines across the country, delivering over 600,000 Fiber-to-the-Home lines in 1H21 compared to FY20 construction.
Apart from structural changes, several of Globe At Home’s current consumer products and innovations are geared toward uplifting and assisting struggling homes.
Among these is Globe At Home’s safe and fast community WiFi service, KonekTayo. Ideal for densely populated areas, KonekTayo’s mission is to empower low-income families by providing a cheap internet connection and enabling them to continue learning at home despite the ongoing pandemic. As of July 2021, 43 KonekTayo WiFi locations are serving 45,607 households in Luzon and the Visayas.
Globe also offers dependable yet affordable WiFi devices ideal for use on the go or at home.
Globe At Home Prepaid WiFi is one such choice. It is a budget-friendly connectivity option for families looking for quality yet cheap internet. It enables family members to share larger data allocations. Globe At Home Prepaid WiFi modem is offered for only Php 499 until August 31.
Globe At Home also offers its most affordable fiber plan, UNLI FIBER UP Plan 1499, to postpaid consumers. The affordable pricing includes up to 35 Mbps internet speed and is stable enough to meet the connectivity demands of all family members, particularly learners.
Globe MyFi, Globe’s pocket device, is currently available at Php 499 until the end of August to make it more affordable to individuals with a higher reliance on daily digital needs. Today’s students can already obtain a pocket WiFi device with a free 9GB of open-access data good for seven days.
“We hope to play a role in the struggles of e-learners caused by the health crisis by providing them with an affordable internet connection for their educational needs,” said Barbie Dapul, Vice President for Marketing of Globe At Home.
“This is just one of the many ways that Globe At Home shows its commitment to provide affordable and accessible internet for all, including the masses,” added Dapul.
