Globe posts LTE Consistency Score of 81.30 in NCR —Ookla
Internet testing firm Ookla has revealed that Globe Telecom’s LTE Consistency Score for Metro Manila is 81.30 for the second quarter of 2021 (April-June).
Improvements on Globe’s network can be seen in its aggressive network rollout in the National Capital Region. The telco has installed 212 new cell sites in Metro Manila for the first half of 2021. Additionally, Globe has upgraded 1,954 cell sites throughout the National Capital Region.
Compared to the 53.96 points posted by Globe in Ookla’s Q2 2020 LTE Consistency Score, the current 81.30 points is a significant improvement, thanks to its continuous network upgrades.
“We aspire to bring the best service to our customers and give them an elevated mobile experience. Since last year, we have made significant strides to bring our Consistency Score to the level of other providers in the world,” said Ernest Cu, Globe President, and CEO.
Cu also encouraged Globe users with 3G SIM cards to upgrade to 5G-ready 4G LTE SIMs.
Additionally, Cu recommended users upgrade their devices to 4G LTE to enjoy the benefits of Globe’s network upgrades.
