LoL's Netflix series 'Arcane' to premiere Nov. 6; official trailer unveiled
League of Legends’ animated series ‘Arcane’ will premiere on Netflix on November 6, according to an official trailer unveiled on Sunday (September 26).
The trailer places a greater emphasis on the sisters, Vi and Jinx, two of the most popular League of Legends champions and the major characters of Arcane.
Arcane follows the backstory of two sisters through their challenging childhood and the divergent paths they took in life as adults. Additionally, the series is set in the rival twin cities of Piltover, a steampunk utopia protected by Vi, and Zaun, an oppressed undercity where Jinx wreaks havoc.

Arcane Release Schedule

Arcane will be released in a series of acts, each with three episodes. Check out the dates below.
  • First Act (Episodes 1 to 3) – November 6, 7 PM PT
  • Second Act (Episodes 4 to 6) – November 13
  • Third Act (Episodes 7 to 9) – November 20
The first act will immediately release after the LoL Worlds 2021 grand finals on November 6.
The Arcane series was developed and produced by Riot Games, with animation services by Fortiche Productions.
While most of the world will be able to stream Arcane on Netflix, League of Legends fans in China will be able to do so through Riot Games’ partnership with Tencent.
Arcane is a significant addition to Netflix’s ever-growing list of video game adaptations. Dota 2, LoL’s primary competitor, launched its anime series DOTA: Dragon’s Blood on Netflix in March. It also has already been renewed for a second season.
Apart from League of Legends and Dota 2, other video games with adaptations in the popular streaming platform include Resident Evil, Castlevania, Dragon’s Dogma, Assassin’s Creed, and Cuphead.
